Are you also into Powerlifting or Strongman?
But I think for brutal HIT ( Yates & Mentzer ) workouts it will run as well. We earn every time also a good bunch of dry beef too.
Yeah try it. We can highly recommend that combination.
Best
No I'm more into aesthetics and bodybuilding, I often train for 6RM but that's it I never actually trained purely for strength purposes.
I really enjoy watching it tho and I respect the sport
Regards mate,
You have the perfect weight and physique for bench press especially competition bench.
I guess you have a brutal RAW result.
So what are your thoughts regarding that?

yes, bench was (and is) always my favourite !
My best bench was about 20 years ago, i did 220KG RAW @ 110KG BW.
With a metal shirt i did 250KG, but i didnΒ΄t practise much in shirt benchpress.
I also did 180KGx8, and 190KGx5 RAW at that time working sets, and included training with rubber bands and block training for the lockout.
I did some competitions at that time, from 2003-2005, but i never took it that serious like you, i did the 3rd place in the national championships of Austria 2004.
I had 2 small kids back then, a stressful job and I took way less PEDΒ΄s than your cycle ... it wasnΒ΄t that easy to get good stuff back then.
After 3 years of competing i switched to "normal" heavy training, still going down to 3-5 reps, especially in benchpress. I just enjoyed lifting heavy...
I kinda regret that i didnΒ΄t go for it back then and see what would have been possible ... but itΒ΄s ok, now i train more for longevity but still heavy ...
I had no time yet studying the Westside System again, but iΒ΄ll do it for sure !
Maybe iΒ΄m on fire again and compete in the Masters 50+ next year
Comrade,
age is just a number.
And no one can take away our fame and glory in these depraved times.
What do I have to do to rekindle your fire?
Adding fuel to the fire, so to speak.
Degrelle once said: You can rest or sleep in your grave.
Ultimately, I could create a perfect bench routine for you for RAW or EQ/Westside.
You'd love it. Your body will stay stable and broad β you'll become brutally stronger.

I really think about ... iΒ΄ll have to resolve some things businesswise first so i can concentrate on that .. we will see ...
what are the actual age classes in powerlifting / bench comp ? IΒ΄m 50 right now.
Weight categories are still the same i guess ?

I'm on my way to the gym right now.
That sounds really good.
I also want to break records next year
Some things have developed positively.
I'll check the rulebooks of the two most important federations in Germany later:
- WUAP Germany
- GPU (German Powerlifting Union)
Then there's also the Grawa under Enrico Schuetze and open cups.
I'll tell you the classes and weight classes later.

ok, so iΒ΄m either in the Master 2 or 3, depending on the league.
And it would make sense to compete in the -125KG class. It makes no sense competing in the +125 or 140KG class ...(only if the records are lower ... HAHA )

Well, in the 125 kg class, the current RAW BENCH record is 240 kg.
Curiously, for athletes up to 140 kg, the RAW record is only 210 kg. So it's absolutely possible to attack and dominate again.
You could also try the EQ Bench. A lot has changed there. Poly shirts are a thing of the past β now band shirts have taken over. Much easier to learn, and you can get in and out on your own. But first, one thing at a time.
Results Germany Records are attached.

That are the weight and age classes for the most important leagues in germany.
It starts mostly with a german championship. Then european championships and then world cups.
This year will be the WUAP world cup in germany. So you see Powerlifting is getting much bigger here again all in all

It could be but its not a must. Relative points / Wilks counting system are also included in greater powerlifting cups so its always a run to stay in your weightclass.

Yeah, thatΒ΄s what i meant, often the records are lower in the higher weight classes ...
That was the same 20 years ago ...
i guess it depends where the elite lifters have competed ... and thats often lower weight classes
Well, 210 RAW doesnΒ΄t really scare me, i thought it would be much higher .
In my best times 20 years ago, i did 2reps with that @110KG.
So, it might be worth an attack in my old days
Can you send me a link to a modern band shirt ? How can I imagine that, like a slingshot ?
