Cycle Log – Contest Prep

Age: 24
Current Weight: 88 kg
Goal: Contest Prep / Cutting

Current Cycle
  • Testosterone Enanthate: 600 mg/week
  • Boldenone: 400 mg/week
As I continue my contest prep, I plan to introduce Clenbuterol later in the cutting phase to help with fat loss.

Training

I’m following a 4-day Torso/Limbs split, training four times per week. My current focus is on maintaining as much muscle mass and strength as possible while getting leaner.

Nutrition
  • Current Calories: 2,800 kcal/day
  • Goal: Steady fat loss while preserving muscle tissue and performance.
Current Progress

At the moment, I’m sitting at 88 kg. Strength has remained stable despite being in a calorie deficit, recovery is good, and my physique continues to improve as conditioning increases. I’ll continue monitoring my progress and make adjustments to calories, cardio, and training as needed throughout prep.

Hi WeGoGym!

Contest prep is where the details matter, so I’d definitely like to see photos. Front relaxed, back relaxed, side chest, and a couple of shots in good lighting. Right now it’s impossible to tell whether you’re actually in contest prep condition or simply in a standard cutting phase.

A few thoughts:

600 mg Test + 400 mg EQ is an interesting choice for a prep, but it depends entirely on your current body fat. If you’re still relatively far from stage condition, it can work. If you’re already deep into prep, EQ can become a double-edged sword due to appetite, water retention in some users, and the tendency to drive hematocrit up over time.

At 88 kg, the question isn’t your weight. The question is your condition. An 88 kg bodybuilder at 8% body fat and an 88 kg bodybuilder at 15% body fat are in completely different situations.

The good sign is that strength is holding and recovery is still good. That’s usually one of the first indicators that the deficit isn’t too aggressive yet.

What I’d be monitoring closely:
  • Weekly rate of loss, not daily scale fluctuations.
  • Blood pressure.
  • Hematocrit and RBC, especially with EQ.
  • Sleep quality.
  • Actual visual conditioning rather than bodyweight.
One thing I’d be careful with is already planning for clenbuterol. Too many people use their best tools before they know they need them. If fat loss is progressing at 2800 kcal and strength is stable, I’d rather pull calories or add cardio first and save clen for when progress genuinely slows.

Post some photos. The mirror will tell us far more about where this prep is heading than the cycle layout or the scale weight.
