Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice or shared experiences regarding blood pressure and cycling.
My Background:
I finished a one-year cycle of Testosterone Enanthate (250mg/week) exactly one year ago. I did a proper PCT, and everything went smoothly—blood work was checked every 3 months and looked great. However, I made one major mistake: I didn’t monitor my blood pressure during that time. Lesson learned.
Current Situation:
I’ve been off for a year now and feel good, but I recently started tracking my BP and noticed it’s a bit high.
• Daytime: 130–150 (SYS) / 60–70 (DIA)
• Evening/Before bed: 125–130 (SYS) / 60–70 (DIA)
It seems I have a high pulse pressure. I suspect this might be genetic, as high blood pressure runs in my family.
The Plan:
I’m planning to start another cycle of Test-E (250mg) after being off for a year. Given my current baseline, I’m a bit concerned about the systolic value creeping up even further once the water retention and increased red blood cell count kick in.
My Questions:
1. Has anyone else started a cycle with a similar BP profile (high systolic, low/normal diastolic)?
2. What did you do to manage it? (Specific supplements, cardio protocols, or even meds like Telmisartan?)
3. Are there specific things I should look out for given the wide gap between my SYS and DIA values?
I’d appreciate any insights or experiences you guys can share!

Your evening values of 125–130 / 60–70 are completely normal, so there’s no reason to worry based on that. A slightly wider gap between systolic and diastolic is common in young, athletic guys.
Just make sure you’re measuring correctly (right cuff size, proper position, rested beforehand), watch excessive salt intake since sodium can raise blood pressure, and keep up regular cardio or daily walks — that alone helps keep systolic in check.
